The Tote brand is an institution in the world of racing and is seen as the gold standard for pool betting.
Britbet, the company set up to run the Tote service for racecourses, partnered with BoscaSports to deliver a new pool betting display experience across all their estate in Britain.
Their existing system was outdated and failing to win customers over from fixed odds providers on-course. BoscaSports identified how we could use our platform to create interest and engagement amongst punters, whilst providing Britbet with the most cost effective, robust platform possible.
In an industry where information is key, BoscaSports is delivering a live, digital source of content to punters on racecourses, pulling in live pricing, racecard data, and premium insights and tips. Bright, clear graphics make it easy for punters to make a call on who they fancy in any race, and the results have been happy customers and increased revenues.
The platform also now delivers live streaming of Away racing to screens at each course. We also allowed Britbet to manage this network centrally from their head office, whilst automating content delivery to the courses. There are separate screens for Home and Away racing and a dedicated screen to drive Promotions and Offers.
The contract involved deploying our system across 56 racecourses from Ayr to Newton Abbot, driving over 4,000 display screens, and delivering uptime targets of over 99%. This project from concept, through platform development, to deployment on course was managed by BoscaSports and we can deliver the same for pool betting environments across the globe.
When the Italian market deregulated and allowed retailers to feature racing from around the world, MST approached BoscaSports to develop solutions to meet this new market demand. As suppliers to more than 3,000 shops in Italy, MST were ideally placed to provide their customers with an end-to-end solution, including pricing, broadcast pictures, data, and technology.
BoscaSports leveraged their existing content and tech to develop solutions for all Italian and International racing. We built solutions that met the specific needs of the market and that plugged into MST’s local content and pricing. This included developing an automated translation engine to deliver previews and selections in Italian for all racing featured.
As a result of this partnership MST are now be able to supply their customers with Ultra HD displays that feature racecards and previews for racing from around the world in Italian, live price feeds, guides for new customers, and premium tips and hints from leading pundits. Providing Italian customers with access to this great content in the retail environment is an ideal way to stimulate interest and betting on these new markets.
